Bent chainrings are thing of the past with the new V2 Bash Guard. A light and simple way to protect your chainring from even the biggest of impacts. The guard has been designed around a unique modular design where you can run the guide and the bash together or independently. This also makes it possible to mix and match colours to give enough combos for even the fussiest rider.

The Bash guard has proven itself on the world stage with U21 EWS rider Brady Stone who is currently ranked 1st in the global rankings and also took an overall EWS stage win!

The back plate is CNC machined from 6082 aluminium. The use of two fitment points not only saves weight but also makes it possible to fit the chain-guide without removing the cranks.

Please note if you are running a 32T Oval Chainring you will need the larger (34T to 36T) size bash.

Compatibility

Compatible with most bikes fitted with ISCG-05 tabs. Clearance's can be tight on frames with high forward pivots so you may need to get creative with the spacing.

    I like these bash guards very much as they're solid yet minimalist. I've just bought a second one for a new frame and certainly didn't look anywhere else when buying. They no longer come with the little shaped spacer for fitting standalone without the chain guide - just a pair of washers. Bit of a shame as that was a nice detail and knocks it down to four stars for me, especially as the website still says one is included, although it shouldn't actually make a difference to the performance.

    Does what it says on the tin. Well made, easy to fit. The only issue I had were the bolts were a little long for my steel frame - nothing a hacksaw and die didn't fix - I would rather have them long than short.

    I'll most likely be ordering a matching top guide.

    Nice to see it's made in UK. Keep up the good work Unite.

Incidentally, only 3rd ride out on it and already glad have it. Hit a pretty nasty rock today, would it have damaged chain ring? Maybe, maybe not, but now don't even need to think about it.

    The Compact Bash was so easy to fit. It was on the bike in a matter of minutes. I was also slightly unsure of how the aluminium would hold up to knocks and scrapes, but so far it's looking as good as new and it's had a fair few knocks.

    I didn't have to remove the cranks and I like the fact I can add a chain guide at a later date if needed.

    These are so well built they should carry an environmental health warning! Caught mine on one of the many boulders in Warncliffe, needless to say the rock lost! Excellent product need to get one on the hardtail now.

    This is an awesome piece and does not reflect the pricepoint. I have been running a OneUp with top guide and it's too far back and causes rubbing in gear 1 on Eagle on a V4 Nomad. Having had a Blackspire Crusher Beavertail I wanted something similar as I don't really need the top guide with a narrow-wide chainring. The Unite Compact Bash offers the same goods and I can support a company who made it in Wales which is ideal. The "taco" is solid, look forward to christening it this weekend, but fitted a treat.
